platform is extended to virtualized management applications for large enterprises and
service providers
NEW YORK, NY. July 21, 2010 — ShoreGroup, Inc., a premier unified communications and systems management solutions provider, today announced its new virtualized CaseSentry (vCS) management architecture. The vCS architecture enables CaseSentry's modular management components to be dynamically deployed as virtual machines throughout a service provider or enterprise environment to quickly and efficiently support evolving service and business requirements. With this announcement, ShoreGroup will now offer both vCS and appliance-based versions of CaseSentry.
The vCS architecture expands upon the
current CaseSentry platform where distribution of management applications is achieved by way
of dedicated servers. CaseSentry's management modules and patented processes, including
health and performance polling, workflow applications, management data storage, reporting,
and the FieldWatch management console can now reside as virtual machines anywhere within the
enterprise or service provider's data centers. The vCS model introduces a multitude of
seamless deployment modes, ranging from a single virtual instance that combines all CaseSentry
management modules, to complete distribution of modules via virtual machines to meet the most
demanding management or service requirements.
The virtualized CaseSentry architecture
specifically targets the management requirements of large enterprises and service providers that
are leveraging the many benefits of virtualization in the data center. vCS management modules can
be quickly deployed within data centers as and where necessary to address immediate scalability,
technology, service offering or geographical requirements without the constraints of deploying new
hardware. vCS management modules may also be directly aligned with the client's virtualized
applications and services, subscribing to the same policies that may exist for isolation and
security. As new customers or services are activated, the configuration of existing management
modules can easily be extended to new virtual machines to reduce deployment times and accelerate
launches. The capabilities of the new architecture are further complemented as CaseSentry is offered
through a software as a service (SaaS) model, providing the ability for enterprises and service
providers to economically acquire management capacity and applications on-demand.
