ShoreGroup Gains Cisco Systems Advanced Data Center Storage Networking Specialization

Achievement recognizes ShoreGroup's qualifications to plan, design, implement and support Cisco's full range of enterprise data center storage solutions

NEW YORK, NY. August 12, 2010 — ShoreGroup, Inc., a premier systems management solutions and IT professional services firm, today announced that it has achieved the Advanced Data Center Storage Networking (DCSN) Specialization from Cisco® Systems. This core specialization recognizes ShoreGroup's knowledge and expertise in designing, deploying, and supporting comprehensive Cisco data center storage networking solutions.

With the Cisco DCSN Specialization, ShoreGroup is qualified to support the requirements that mid-sized to enterprise-scale organizations have when deploying a wide-range of data center technologies and applications. Earning this credential validates that ShoreGroup possesses the specialized skills and resources necessary to build intelligent networking solutions between multiple sites and across geographies based on industry-leading Cisco data center storage networking products, including Cisco MDS 9000 Series Multilayer Directors and Fabric Switches, MDS 9000 IP Storage Services Modules, MDS 9000 Caching Services Modules, MDS 9000 Advanced Services Modules, MDS 9000 Fibre Channel Switching Modules, MDS 9000 Port Analyzer Adapters, MDS 9100 and 9200 Multilayer Fabric Switches, MDS 9500 Series Multilayer Directors and MDS 9500 Series Supervisor Modules.

"Acquiring the Cisco Advanced DCSN Specialization is a key component in our strategy to offer a complete product and services portfolio around Cisco's Data Center 3.0 framework," said Robert Ditta, ShoreGroup's Executive Vice President. "It further demonstrates that ShoreGroup is in a position to design and integrate comprehensive data center solutions that are closely aligned with business needs, provide investment protection, and meet ongoing next generation data center requirements while adding the flexibility essential to cost effectively manage capacity growth needs."

"Creating a highly available and scalable storage network design based on converged architecture that addresses business continuity and data security is a top priority for many businesses," said Barry Katzman, ShoreGroup's Director of Sales Engineering. "Collaboration between networking professionals and storage professionals is becoming commonplace as today's data center network architecture is collapsing storage traffic onto a unified data center switching fabric. Data storage networking solutions bring several key benefits that organizations are looking for, including improved IT staff productivity and business continuance, enhanced data security, higher performance and better accessibility at lower costs."

As part of its comprehensive data center strategy, ShoreGroup announced separately this week that its CaseSentry® Systems Management Platform has been enhanced to support the management of Cisco's Unified Computing System. The company has also recently announced its new virtual CaseSentry (vCS) architecture providing virtualized management applications for large enterprises and service providers.

In addition to Cisco DCSN Specialization, ShoreGroup also holds Advanced Specializations in Data Center Networking Infrastructure, Security, Wireless, Unified Communications, Routing & Switching as well as an ATP (Authorized Technology Provider) in Customer Voice Portal (CVP), Unified Contact Center (UCC) Enterprise, and Data Center Unified Computing Systems.
