Job Title: Senior Project Manager, Data Center Operations

Job Summary:
ShoreGroup is expanding its Data Center practice and is actively seeking a VMware Data Center Project Manager to join our growing Engineering team. The Data Center Project Manager will take a lead role in driving project from start to completion for ShoreGroup's VMware, Cisco, EMC Delivery Practice in regard to leading edge private cloud solutions, migrations, and data center moves. The Project Manager will be responsible for leading a team of engineers through project planning, organizing resource availability, time management, order/vendor management, and procurement.
- Knowledge and/or Skill Requirements:
- Five (5) plus years experience with the following technologies:
- VMware® 3.x-4.x / 5.x Projects
- VMware vCenter™
- VMware Site Recovery Manager (SRM)
- VMware Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (View)
- VMware vCloud Director
- VMware ThinApp
- VMware vShield
- Advanced VMware Networking including Cisco Nexus 1000V
- Resource Pooling and Architecture in VMware
- Data Center Consolidation Projects
- Data Center Move Projects
- Organizing third party vendors / clients
- Logistic planning
- Microsoft® experience tied to Storage and Virtualization projects
- Working knowledge of Hyper V - migrations to vSphere
- Storage expertise in Microsoft Exchange / SQL projects
- Server hardware related projects
- Hewlett-Packard® / IBM BladeCenter®
- Cisco Unified Computing System™ (Cisco UCS)
- Experience in organizing the delivery of assessment work
- Organizing internal resources to collect data
- Organizing documents of VMware performance metrics / tuning data
- Organizing documents of VMware storage environments
- PMP or equivalent certification
- Additional Skill Requirements:
- Ability to write and produce professional documentation
- Must know Microsoft Office suite, Mircosoft Project and Microsoft Visio
